The Smell of Rain

Updated: Jun 5

Hello Vic Park,

It’s raining… Finally !!!

I know most of us are probably sick of being inside. But even with less restrictions, days like these make you just want to rug up, grab a coffee or some soup and just watch the world go by. I am doing that right now as I type this blog, sitting at my desk staring out the window. It is something about the pitter-patter of rain on the roof, lightning and the thunder that follows, but it’s the smell of rain that I love most. I cannot describe to you the love I have for the smell of rain… But that’s another story.

There is something about the change of seasons. The sense of calm when transitioning to a cooler time of year. It feels like a fresh start. I know I will eventually get tired of the cold but when that happens I know spring will soon come.

Something I hope everyone is looking forward to is Mothers Day!

My mum has been my best friend for as long as I can remember and no words could describe how thankful I am to have her as my role model. She keeps me focused when I day dream and has supported and encouraged me to be the best version of myself. I could write so much more but I need to save some for her card…

I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all mothers a beautiful day this Sunday. You deserve to get spoiled all year, not just one day. We appreciate everything that you do.

I hope you enjoy lots of hugs, gifts and the beautiful smell of flowers… maybe even the smell of rain too.

Until next week,

Emily
